Dear friends,
I like to inform you
about important news from the Dutch trombone-scene.
Our complete teaching
team of the trombone department of the "Codarts" Conservatory in Rotterdam will
change conservatory and from September 2011 we will start teaching at the
"Conservatory of Amsterdam", "CvA".
- Jörgen van Rijen,
solo-trombone Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra;
- Pierre Volders,
solo-trombone Rotterdam Philharmonic;
- Remco de Jager, trombone
Rotterdam Philharmonic;
- Ben van Dijk, solo-bass
trombone Rotterdam Philharmonic
After more then 10 years of successful "team-teaching" within
"Codarts" we will continue our work, as team, in Amsterdam.
The Conservatory of Amsterdam will give our trombone
department more possibilities like:

1. A beautiful new building with wonderful studio's, concert
halls and other facilities.

2. A very good classical department with successful other
instrument departments.
3. Good possibilities for non European students to study
with the professors.
Successes of our teaching-team in the past are jobs in many
important orchestras around the world for students from this department.

Winning twice the important International Trombone
Association’s “Emory Remington” trombone-choir competition on a row in 2005 and
2009.
Here are 2 video’s to give you an idea of the recent
trombone-class of our team. This complete group will join us in our Amsterdam adventure!
