Who played trombone at the KCO between 1977 and 1986?

    Hello all,

I've been watching the dvd-box of the Concertgebouw Orchestra as conducted by Bernard Haitink. Title of the box is: 'Mahler Kerstmatinees'.
From 1977 uptill 1986 the KCO (royal conc. orch) played a symphony of Gustav Mahler around christmas. Personally I think this concert series is very special: the atmosphere there is around christmas combined with your annual Mahler-concert .. That has been a beautifull period in time, especially when you're into Mahler and as myself a big fan of Haitink.

I have this box for some time now and lately I started wondering who the tromboneplayers were at that time. Especially the basstrombone player. If I'm correct the tubaplayer is Donald Blakesley. Ofcourse it's possible that there have been some changes in the section at that time but, as far as I can see, it's mostly the same faces so I wonder if anyone can fill me in on this. It's been quite a search so far, I've been Googling extensively.
I have myself a couple of books about the KCO but you've guessed it: not a clue so far..

Thanks in advance for your posts,

    all the best,
    Erwin Dijkstra
