    Re: John Rojak

John is the bass trombonist in the American Brass Quintet, in the pit orchestra of Les Mis on Broadway, in the Aspen Festival Orchestra and on the faculty at Rutgers and Juilliard. In his spare time he does solo CDs .

Very nice guy and talented bass trombonist as well.

    Re: John Rojak

Just wanted to add/amend a few points from Harold.

John is a wonderful musician and person. I was lucky enough to study with him for 3 summers at Aspen MF. Apart from being the bass trombonist of the festival orchestra, he is also the bass trombone teacher at the festival.

Rojak was the trombonist for the original run of Les Mis, (Im sure after an 16 year run...87-03, John is happy to be doing other things!!)

Chris Olness was doing the revival from 06-'08 (that just closed the other week)

One of the nicest guys in the business, and a real relaxed approach to playing, amazing when you hear some of the ABQ parts he negotiates with seemless ease. Check out some of the ABQ CD's if you get a chance.

I think he also plays in the Orchestra of St Lukes, and many other things im sure. It's been a while since i've been in touch.

Im sure others can add more.

    Cheers
