Stefan Schulz (BPH) & Daniel Schnyder

Also my teacher at UdK Berlin, concert was LIVE at our university in March 2007. The concert was... well... I am sorry you were not there... It really is scary, what this guy can do with his basstrombone... The concerts title was WORLDS BEYOND, componist was entirely Daniel Schnyder, one of the pieces has the same name. Other pieces were even more incredible, technical. Check for it on YouTube.

Indeed sounds awesome. Stefan is really one of the best basses of this time and in this piece he shows his talents in many ways.
    Great performance!!!

    Hey,

Does anyone know what equipment Stefan uses? Because I just love the sound he is getting out of it.

His horn brand is THROJA (german style basstrombone, not lacquered, made in Berlin by Thomas Robert Jahn) and is a custom made especially for him with 2 dependend thayer valves. Mouthpiece is Schilke also custom made.
