    Ted Griffiths

The man that made me into a true lover of the Bass Trombone was Ted (Theodore) Griffiths!!!

The man was truly a genius and knew how to teach!!

If he were still alive I might be actually playing in an Orchestra that paid enough to live off of. That goes to show you that I have no self discipline.

He taught me that I can play anything I want as long as I'm willing to practice. I do that now except not for a living. I wasn't patient enough.

I still think of him whenever a big concert is coming up and pray that he is listening. When I play, I play for him now.

If anyone knows him post here.

I'd like to see how many lives he touched.

I know that at his retirement concert there were about 80 trombonists on stage playing for him!!

Cheers to Ted and everything he did for me!!!

I didn't know Ted, but 2 of my teachers studied with him and have both told me what a fantastic player he was and the great influence he was on them and their playing.
