which slide lubricant do you use?

It kept gumming by the end of the day, and I would have to reapply sometimes two or three times. Slide-o-mix just seems to work a lot better, and yes it is on the expensive side, but I think it is worth if it means that my slide will perform better.

All the lubes will work provided your slide is clean. Dawn Liquid Soap does wonders. It removes all the grime and built up residue. I clean my slides every couple of weeks and it takes no time at all. Trombotine + Superslick Silicone or the small bottle of SOM works well. Of course SOM and Reka are fine products too. www.slidebone.com

I decided not to but i was thinking i needed some more slide-o-mix. So when i asked him for some he said to try something different. He gave me a bottle of Yamaha Trombone slide oil. He told me if i did not like it send it back free of charge, and he would give me my money back. I have not looked back since. Its charper than anything else if you use it right. Putting a littile bit on makes the slide super slick. One small bottle of it (cant remember how much like $10?) and i have had it all year. Highly recomend it. Getzen 1062 FDR Greigo CS1
