The end of the summer is there and a new start of our Orchestra's season is there.
We already were with the RPhO in San Sebastian for 2 concerts.
The two concerts in the festival there were a big success! The people loved it!
Bartok's Concert for Orchestra is always fun to play and to be part of Mahler 3 was.
With a horn-section like ours, already the opening is "impressionante".
Pierre Volders, solo Trb, is in TOP-form. Bravo Pedro, emotional performance!
Guest principal Trumpet, Hessel Buma, played tears in my eyes.
Luis Gonzales's posthorn solo was super.
Woodwinds and strings played wonderful and all of this after 4 weeks vacation. I was surprised.
Of course Yannick's conducting makes it easy to play and his interpretation of this monstrous symphony us awesome.
With my former student, Mark Boonstra on 3rd trombone the low-brass was well equipped.
The first half of the season is quiet interesting with:
