Ben's Ramblings

Testing my New Video Camera

I recently bought a new video camera. The main reason is the upcoming birth of our first grandchild.
Of course this also gives me the possibility to record some movies of myself.

Today I have been fooling around a bit and testing the camera in my studio. I recorded a short track just to see what the result would be.
What you will hear is part of the Bach "Sarabande" and a little improvisation on a theme by Ilja Reijngoud, taken from his "Flamenco Suite" he composed for my new upcoming CD.
The sound is not yet great but I think the quality of the shots is not so bad.

My idea is to make some videos in the near future with exercises from my book "Ben's Basics".

For now have a look at this little YouTube movie I published today:

Ben,

Ik kan niet wachten tot je andere video opnames.

Het beeld is fantastisch en het geluid ook trouwens, tenminste met externe speakers welke ik gebruik.

Je bent een inspiratie voor vele bastrombone spelers en andere muzikanten.

Groeten,

Ron Schutten
